Every so often cricketforgirls.com has the privilege of bumping into some of the biggest names in English Women’s cricket. Every time we do, we manage to get some brilliant insight into what is going on behind the scenes, but more importantly, we get to find out more about the people involved in English Women’s cricket.
Recently, we were lucky enough to catch up with one of the world’s most exciting all-rounders, England Women’s Natalie Sciver
All things cricket:
What got you into cricket?
I loved all sports when I was younger, so cricket was another one to play in the garden with my brother and my dad!
What is the best thing about playing cricket for England?
The best thing about playing for England is the group of girls you get to take the field with.
If you could give any tips for girls just getting into cricket, what would you say?
Make sure you enjoy the game!
And for those wanting to go all the way to the top and play for England?
Don’t get bored of learning and wanting to get better.
All things not cricket!
You are often described as the best dancer in the team, but who do you think is the best dancer?!
Best singer in the team?
Did you play any other sports growing up?
Yes, I played as many sports as I could!
Do you support a football team? If so who?
I used to follow Manchester United, but I don’t follow it so much these days.
Best country you have played cricket in and why?
England, because of the amazing support we have.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I have lived in 4 different countries!
Our thanks to Natalie Sciver for speaking to us. Keep an eye out on the Cricket for Girls website for our next interview.
